The Cape Kiwanda State Park access point continues to experience high vehicle counts. People drive at excessive speed, often using trucks with dogs running behind to exercise them. Litter and driftwood fires continue to be a problem, often too close to the dune grass or "bleeding" into Mile 264 to the North, the little community of Tierra del Mar.

Two weeks ago when the surfing competition was at Cape Kiwanda, there were over forty vehicles on the beach, some driving out of bounds

Actions & Comments
more and more people seem to be using pickups to exercise their dogs. They drive in, let the dogs out of the back, then gun the motor, encouraging the dogs to follow. They drive at excessive rates of speed, especially late in the day towards sunset.
