Mile 258 Report
Nestucca North Spit south end
May 29, 2016
Being Memorial Day weekend, we expected a lot of folks.
Report Details
Being Memorial Day weekend, we expected a lot of folks.More vehicles traveling the beach than I've ever seen before. Some were just cruising up and down the beach, others pulled over at the large campsite.I believe it was opening weekend for a particular kind of fish, as the fishing boats were packed in the around the mouth of the river. Despite all the human traffic, we did see several harbor seals playing in the water staying clear of the boats. Trash was very minimal. The wind picked up as the day wore on. The sand looked like a highway with all the tire tracks.
