Beautiful day for strolling beach.

Beautiful day for strolling beach. Lovely sunset. Tangled piles of kelp as well as individual pieces all up and down the beach. More than I have seen there before. I had out of state guests who had not seen the ocean before. Very enjoyable day.

Notable Wildlife
Not many birds but saw several brown pelicans flying over the water. Lot of seaweed washed up. Some in big clumps. Small bunches all up and down the beach.

Beautiful day to stroll beach. Lovely sunset. Had out of State guests that hadn't seen ocean before. More logs and small pieces of driftwood than I have seen there before. Tangled piles of kelp as well as individual pieces all over the beach. Some good sized waves rolling in washing sand out to sea.

Significant erosion to the dune which has caused many trees of all sizes to fall to the beach and be washed northward. Of note: this same significant degree of erosion occurred for 2 1/2 miles: from the northern section of mile 254 through mile 257 at Camp Winema
