SOLVE litter pick-up taking place. A fissure appears to be developing at the base of a bluff.

Temperature: 64 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 2.6 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 58. Number of dogs: 6. Walking or running: 37. Playing in surf: 5. Playing in sand: 2. Photography: 1. Other Activities: 13 people volunteering with SOLVE and picking up trash. The section was particularly busy due to SOLVE volunteer cleanup efforts. I was one of them as well as another Mile 246 volunteer, and my boyfriend. It was great to see so many people out there!

Small rocks, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces.
Natural Changes
Major cracks appearing in bluffs. There's a fissure near the base of a bluff, see photos, it may not be new but it didn't seem familiar to me at the time so I photographed it.

We observed a dead sea lion with a tag on beach.

During negative tide, observed few new/unusual species I haven't observed in the area previously including a purple sea urchin and 2 large lion's mane jellys. See pics.

It was a pleasant walk on the beach.

Fairly clear, warm day on the mile with a larger than typical number of people spending time on it.
