Usually large amount of broken mussel shells, concentrated on the north end of the mile. Small amount of trash picked up - mostly fishing line. Four dead birds observed.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 4. No leg bands and I don't know how to identify birds, but I took pics of the corpses

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Shells, Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Styrofoam, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.).

Natural Changes

no major landslides, just the typical amount, see pic

This tree sits atop the easily accessible part of the north end of the mile. It always appears to be barely holding on.

During negative tide, observed few new/unusual species I haven't observed in the area previously including a purple sea urchin and 2 large lion's mane jellys. See pics.

Very low tide level and accumulated sand allowed many people to walk around cliffs to cove below God's Thumb.

Interesting scientific device observed off the west end of "the Point", on north Roads End Mile 246, during a minus low tide.
