Usually large amount of broken mussel shells, concentrated on the north end of the mile.

Usually large amount of broken mussel shells, concentrated on the north end of the mile. Small amount of trash picked up - mostly fishing line. Four dead birds observed.
Conditions
Temperature: 66 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.

Number of people: 32. Number of dogs: 4. Walking or running: 26. Playing in surf: 4. Sitting: 1.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 4. No leg bands and I don't know how to identify birds, but I took pics of the corpses
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Shells, Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Styrofoam, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.).
Natural Changes
no major landslides, just the typical amount, see pic

We observed a dead sea lion with a tag on beach.

During negative tide, observed few new/unusual species I haven't observed in the area previously including a purple sea urchin and 2 large lion's mane jellys. See pics.

Fairly clear, warm day on the mile with a larger than typical number of people spending time on it.

Very low tide level and accumulated sand allowed many people to walk around cliffs to cove below God's Thumb.
