Report Details

Quiet Saturday, weather cloudy, not much debris on beach, not much wildlife, either. An area of mass slumping beneath a house on the cliff south of Nye Beach turnaround has been filled. A harbor porpoise stranded near the southern edge of mile 216 on 25 April 2011. Attempts to refloat it failed, and it had to be euthanized. People and dogs illegally crowded it. As far as I know, no one was prosecuted.
