An uneventful day on Nye Beach. No dogs off leash was the biggest surprise.

20 pelicans in flight (unusual this late in season); gulls, sanderlings, & 1 whimbrel not unusual

Dead Steller sea lion opposite north end of Shilo Inn on October 26th.

A few sea nettle jellyfish (Chrysaora fuscescens)

Actions & Comments
Nothing out of the ordinary except for the presence of pelicans this late in the season.Water quality advisory November 5-7 for fecal coliform bacteria following heavy rains.Snow and ice on beach December 15-17.

Sea lion corpse, seven dead birds, the rubber fishing lures, much fishing rope, decomposed jellies, and copious amounts of marine and land debris were all notable observations.
