50? people enjoying a cool day on the beach and many playing in the sand. Dead birds and lots of seaweed and kelp in area in the Hallmark Hotel and Elizabeth Inn.

isolated gulls, dead birds on beach;seaweed clumps especially in front of Hallmark Hotel; smaller clumps elsewhere.

Total dead birds: 4. At least 3 species of birds dead (small black and white, a gull, and my on the beach and mixed in w/seaweed debris, though one was a beautiful cormorant I believe. A vulture was working away at a gull carcass.

Eight total lures were seen, all of them glittery with an orangish hue.

Sea lion corpse, seven dead birds, the rubber fishing lures, much fishing rope, decomposed jellies, and copious amounts of marine and land debris were all notable observations.

Took photos of all dead birds, as well as live birds/jellyfish, and some trash and sky
