Obvious increase in traffic on the beach. All "gravel" areas are under the sand. Only difference was the amount of septic seepage into the sand making it truly "mucky" to walk over.

Conditions

Temperature: 69 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 2.0 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 20. Number of dogs: 10. Walking or running: 20. Fishing: 3. Was there an hour, left at 1130 a.m. Parking lot full, as I was leaving, one party of 19 came specifically for a family reunion photograph.

Apparent violations: Noted that the garbage can at Curtis St. was overflowing.

Total dead birds: 1. Cormorant - didn't see any bands

Stranded Marine Mammals

Total stranded mammals: 1. Very dead sea lion (picture attached)
