A normal winter day on Mile 200.
Report Details
A normal winter day on Mile 200. We had a high low tide of 3., lots of large plastics, plastic bottles/debris, light rain, and lots of natural beach erosion from previous high tides. It was nice to see the stream changed pathways back to where it was before,instead of almost blocking the entrance to the park.

Wrackline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings or molts, Wood pieces, Marine debris, Plastic debri (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Styrofoam.
Natural Changes
Erosion of vegetated foredune, Visible retreat of solid bluff. The stream that changed course this last year at the entrance to Patterson State park, ha now gone back to its previous path way to ocean. It is now a straight path to the ocean.

It was a minus tide this cloudy morning and I could see a large group of pelicans off in the distance at Alsea Bay.

I was anxious to visit Mile 200 this week to see if there were tar deposits or any struggling birds due to the reported tar substance washing up on Oregon beaches.
