Report Details
First of all, the Wakonda Beach access at mile marker 159, which was a 12' dropoff due to heavy wave errosion, has been repaired to accommodate trucks and heavy equipment access to the beach. It is once again passable although care must still be taken when going up and down. Pedestrians must be aware of the activities of the trucks and equipment going up and down the access and driving on the beach. The badly eroded property south of the access is not permitted to be armored.
Conditions
Temperature: 56 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Tide Level: 3.5 feet.
Human Activities
Heavy equipment and dump trucks are on the beach. A private contractor is on the beach making repairs to and installing permitted permanent riprap to protect properties from further erosion which was significant during this last winter's King Tides.

It was a gorgeous sunny day after all the rain. The barnacle log that I have been observing for months is still on the beach.
