Quiet foggy morning, slight breeze from NW. Few crows, 1 mature bald eagle flying S,carrying twig. 5 people, 2 dogs walking.Tideline contents: pebbles, clam and sand dollar pieces, very few small pieces of plastic removed. Campground host notified of 1 wet crab bait waxed cardboard box, too heavy to to carry. It will be removed.

Number of people: 5. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 5. Beachside campground closed, hosts cleaning winter debris campground for 3/15 opening.

Notable Wildlife

2 crows, 1 mature bald eagle flying along shoreline carrying a twig.

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). 1 flattened crab bait box in sand, too heavy to carry, reported to campground host.

Natural Changes

Erosion of vegetated foredune, Evidence of wave overtopping. Large overtopping of waves into n. campground area( usual this time of year), many logs tossed into campground road, removed to side., by parks staff. North gravel beach access point mostly washed away( also annual)- will be repaired. Some slumping of foredune vegetation at N. end of mile.
