Beach had few visitors.

Beach had few visitors. Quiet day. Small amouts of broken clam, mussel and dungeness crab shells on the beach. Major observation was significant amounts of graffiti at the Rock Creek beach access, along the trail and on some large rocks on the beach. Large face carved into the bluff face.

Apparent violations: Litter observed in the brush above the beach. Appears to have been thrown over the cliff from the parking lot..Notable Wildlife
2 groups of 4-5 sandpipers on the beach feeding just above the surf line.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt).
New Development
Observed quite a bit of graffiti on the sign at the Rock Creek beach access and along the rocks and trail on the way down to the beach. The sign at the trailhead is nearly unreadable. Also noted some graffiti on one of the large rocks on the beach. Large face carved into the cliff face.
Actions & Comments
See above comments about graffiti and carving. Too much trash to address today. Will try to return next week to address the trash.

Except for myself there were people and vehicles only on the north side of Rock Creek which is called Ocean Picnic Beach.
