Report Details
I very much enjoyed being back on Muriel Ponsler beach (mile 182) after a protracted absence. I brought a friend with me. We were looking for dead birds for COASST, as well as surveying "my" mile. Heavy seas this winter have exposed the volcanic outcropping that had been covered with sand last summer. There is also a lot of large wood at and above high tide line in certain parts of the beach, as well as wood tossed nearly to the pavement in the parking area.
