My daughter and I have been doing the beach clean-ups twice a year at this site since 1997. This is the first time I've reported here. The gist of this summary can be found on the previous three pages of this report. I'll include photos and a better summary next time.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 1.8 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 2. Other Activities: Litter removal. There is no vehicle access possible on this beach.

Notable Wildlife
Scores of sea lions on South end of Cape Cove, had to cut beach clean-up short so as not to disturb them, Still filled three trash bags.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Small rocks, Styrofoam, Wood pieces. Visible retreat of solid bluff, Landslides/major boulder falls. spoils from 2000 landslide washing away
Actions & Comments
As the traffic guard rails that went down the cliff from original landslide are exposed, I am trying to remove and recycle them . I was disappointed to notice the "Petroglyph Rock" was naturally relocated and drawings no longer visible

It was a very comfortable Saturday morning low tide.

It was a minus tide, and it allowed me to observe the invertebrates living on the "off-shore" rocks.
