Mile 178 Report
Cape Cove, Sea Lion Point, Sea Lion Caves
November 26, 2015
It was Thanksgiving morning 2015.
Report Details
It was Thanksgiving morning 2015. I went to my beach to get photos of king tide at precisely high tide. Because my beach is nearly submerged during events like this, I was very limited as to a vantage point from where to take pictures. From where I was able to stand, all my pictures were taken looking South. At this time in the late morning, the sun was glaring directly at me, and made it a bad photo-op day. I will have to try this again when king tide is at it's crest in the afternoon, when the sun is in the Western horizon.
Conditions
Temperature: 49 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 9.0 feet.

It was a minus tide, and it allowed me to observe the invertebrates living on the "off-shore" rocks.
