Both steepness and sharpness of storm erosion of the foredune has lessened.
Report Details
Both steepness and sharpness of storm erosion of the foredune has lessened. The shipwrecked "Bella" is still visible although sand has been gradually re-covering it. Very little bird activity today, a small group of sanderlings at the waterline and two northern harriers swooping over the foredune area.

Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.

Notable Wildlife
Very few birds. A couple of gulls flying overhead, a small group of approx. 40 sanderlings feeding, two northern harriers flying over the foredune.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 3. 2 northern fulmars (dark morph)and 1 white-winged scoter
Driftline Content
Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces.
Actions & Comments
Continued softening of areas of sharp bank caused by winter sand erosion, now not so high (still too high in some areas to scramble away from any sneaker waves!) Broken shell pieces evenly scattered on beach. Both large and small driftwood pieces still present, including some beautiful large tree stumps.
