Only two other people on the beach today, visiting from Washington.
Report Details
Only two other people on the beach today, visiting from Washington. Overcast, but only very light wind, comfortable temperature, a good day to be on the beach. Three small airplanes flew by, going south, low over the water and close to shore. Lots of crab shell pieces, legs and bodies, and also an unusually large number of "sand crab" shells in the driftline. Lack of birds today, saw only 2 turkey vultures gliding along the foredune.

Actions & Comments
Beach grass on foredune is vigorous and green with new growth. Sand in front of foredune is shaped with soft contours indicating primarily wind from the north. Lots of "sand crab" shells and pieces of crabs in the driftline. No shorebirds or gulls today, only 2 turkey vultures cruising along the foredune. Three small airplanes flying low and southward along water's edge, must have been getting a great bird's-eye view of the beautiful ocean and beach and dune.
