Once again, a nice, peaceful walk along a windswept section of the shoreline north of Ten Mile Creek west of Lakeside.

Once again, a nice, peaceful walk along a windswept section of the shoreline north of Ten Mile Creek west of Lakeside. With no road access, and being part of a large area off limits to ATV's, it's "the way it used to be", and we hope "the way it always will be". Very little sign of 'man', other than numerous floats (5-6) off of crab boats (one with an ODF identifying tag with the name 'Dawn Treader' attached). Animal casings, ocean-based debris and Styrofoam in the driftline. Small flocks of sandpiper-like birds and a smallpod of seals.

Temperature: 49 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.
Human Activities
Very little sign of human activity on this remote site that is accessed by a 2 mile hike over the sand dunes west of Lakeside.
Notable Wildlife
Small flocks of sandpiper like birds; and a small pod of seals.

Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Styrofoam.
