New sand being deposited on parts of the beach, and other parts seemed to have lost sand.
Report Details
New sand being deposited on parts of the beach, and other parts seemed to have lost sand. Beach was clean on the first third of walk coming from North. Southern part had more log debris and toward the end of Mile 130 there is extensive log and drift deposits. Part of the beach is taking on a "berm" appearance as sand is moved about. Shells, animal casing and wood pieces in driftline. Two large flocks of gulls on beach, and a large group of shorebirds foraging at surfline. Moderate human impact (10)- 9 playing in surf and 1 fishing. Four dogs.

Temperature: 56 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: S. Tide Level: 6.2 feet.

Number of people: 9. Number of dogs: 4. Playing in surf: 8. Fishing: 1. Horsfall parking lot was filled with Rvs and trucks. Most of the day use spots were taken.

Notable Wildlife
two flocks of gulls on beach about fifty birds in each. Group of Plovers fairly large in number (35-05) feeding. No persons or animals bothering them.

Beach was fairly clean with new sand covering logs near vegetation line.
