Driftline high and wide especially on south end of beach.
Report Details
Driftline high and wide especially on south end of beach. Large pile of kelp and seaweed under cliff on south end. Unusual finds: thick nylon rope as from a ship on S end. Will need removal. Wooden debris: piece of building? A piece of plywood with 2 by 4s nailed into it. Very large pieces of perhaps a dock or retaining wall. Also near N end under rocks a yellow perhaps a dry suit. It is held down by large rocks. Few cormorants still in trees on S end, but end of nesting. Good infill above tideline. Some exposed rock below tideline about middle of mile.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 0.5 feet.

Number of people: 12. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 6. Playing in surf: 2. Sitting: 2. Other Activities: 2 watching children. Most people came down to beach from houses on cliff above beach.

Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs
