A few gulls foraging in the surf.
Report Details
A few gulls foraging in the surf. Kelp/algae, shells and many crushed and broken barnacles, animal casings, wood pieces, land-based debris, plastic pellets and Styrofoam in the driftline. One unknown dead bird. Beach filled in above high tide line with some rocks exposed below high tide line. Nesting cormorants moving inland causing more dead trees. One nesting Pigeon Guillemot. Low human impact (0).

Total dead birds: 1. Unknown bird.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Many crushed broken barnacles.

Actions & Comments
Beach filled in well above high tide line. Some wrack exposed below high-tide line. Some rock exposed below high-tide line. Nesting cormorants moving inland and as a consequence, there are more dead trees. Also saw one nesting Pigeon Guillemot. The Ospreys did not return this year. Will confirm with binoculars next visit.
