Mile 107 - Bullards Beach, Cut Creek, Chrome Lake, Round Lake - July 13, 2009

Report Details

The large amount of Dungeness crab bodies and parts was noteworthy. Very little plastic and other debris was observed. In several areas, large numbers of worm tubes, six large jellyfish and 5 starfish were seen in the driftline. Shells and rocks also in driftline. A few gulls, Whimbrels and several Ravens on beach. 5 dead birds. Moderate human impact (14)-2 walking, 3 sitting and 9 windsurfing. 5 vehicles on allowed beach.

Minimal number of shorebirds observed. A few gulls, whimbrels and and several ravens.

Many broken up crab carcasses and worm tubes in driftline. Six large jellyfish and 5 starfish as well.
