Calm, pleasant day with light winds.
Report Details
Calm, pleasant day with light winds. No human activity other than tire tracks from vehicles entering from Whiskey Run beach access. No bird or marine mammal carcasses observed. A small landslide was visible (see photos and description). Noticeable increase in amount of plastic, styrofoam (orange and green) and wood debris in the driftline, possibly from Japanese tsunami. Several plastic bottles had Japanese writing. Very few shorebirds observed. Shells, casings, kelp/algae, small rocks, wood pieces and land-based debris were in the driftline.

Temperature: 57 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 1.5 feet.
Human Activities
No human activity - only tire tracks between Whiskey Run access and Cut Creek.

Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Shells, Small rocks, Styrofoam, Wood pieces.
Natural Changes
Landslides/major boulder falls.
Actions & Comments
Fairly recent landslide located N 43 degrees 11.521 - see attached photo. Slides extends approx. 40 ft. out from base of cliff below Bandon Dunes golf course.
