There wasn't much to see or report on this sunny but chilly morning.

There wasn't much to see or report on this sunny but chilly morning. Two walkers came in from the campground, and two others were resident-regulars. For some reason there was a noticeable amount of rope and plastic debris, which I removed.The sea was fairly calm. Several sanderlings fed in the water line, and a few gulls flew out at sea. Shells, animal casings, kelp/algae, small rocks in driftline.

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 8.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 4. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 4. The fresh tire tracks ended at the "no motor vehicles" sign just north of the beach bathroom/parking area. Hurrah!

Notable Wildlife
Not much observed: several Sanderlings in the waterline, foraging. A few gulls flew out at sea.

After finishing the walk and observing the family around their fire, I made my way to the park host/ranger station to report the illegal campfire.

A cloudy but calm morning saw just me and a few gulls on the beach, while about 20 cormorants, a pelican and other gulls flew offshore.

No one else was out on this calm morning after two days of extremely high surf--at least when we started north.
