Mile 102 Report
Coquille River, South Jetty, Lighthouse
September 15, 2012
There wasn't much happening on the southern half of my mile heading away from the jetty.
Report Details
There wasn't much happening on the southern half of my mile heading away from the jetty. The fact it was still pretty dark was probably a key factor. A guy and his dog beat me to the beach, and we encountered a runner on the return walk. Quiet and clean. No litter and not much in the driftline other than small pebbles, shell fragments, some crab molts, a bit of green sea grass. Some gulls were gathered on the sand, but no other critters were evident on or offshore. Haven't seen any seals for days. Several driftwood huts lie above the high-tide line.
