Observations taken over 2 days because of river. Both early morning at 6 and 6:30 at low tides of 0.2 and calm. 5 people plus a child in a stroller and 4 dogs. Most of the adults were rock hunting.Flocks of gulls, a few crows and one black oyster catcher were the other live notables. One dead western gull and Dungeness crabs. Small stones, shells, kelp in the wrack line. No litter seen.No new erosion since the winter storms.

Number of people: 5. Number of dogs: 4. Walking or running: 2. Couple with dog and child in a stroller had to be a first for me on the beach early morning.

Another dead fur seal washed up a few weeks after one did on the southern half of Mile 102, this time further north of Coquille Point.

A chilly NW wind didn't deter 9 folks -- 5 rock hunting, the others walking -- from hitting the South Jetty beach on an overcast morning with a low tide of 0.

The northern half of this mile was engulfed by thick fog, but still attracted two other beach goers searching for agates.
