Report Details
The Coquille River Lighthouse loop road along the beach is closed for the storm season. No people, no bodies, no litter, no vehicles on the northern segment of Mile 102 on a cold, clear morning. A few gulls clustered on the sand near the north jetty. A couple of piles of bull kelp occupied the high line. The wintry tides have not yet reached the woodpiles along the dune base, but they're getting closer.

Temperature: 35 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: NE. Tide Level: 3.4 feet.
Notable Wildlife
A few gulls on the sand north of the jetty on the Coquille River.
