The most notable life forms on the half-mile south from the Coquille River jetty this morning before the sun popped up were humans with large, unleashed dogs (8 and 4).

The most notable life forms on the half-mile south from the Coquille River jetty this morning before the sun popped up were humans with large, unleashed dogs (8 and 4). Even more of these specimens were on the next mile. Otherwise, crows and gulls patrolled the beach; Black Oystercatchers chattered on the offshore rocks. It was a lovely, windless but chilly outing. Logs, wood pieces, grass, shell fragments and small stones marked the tideline.
