After two days of relentless high winds, surf and rain, I was surprised at how little damage was evident--at least on the half mile south of the Coquille River and jetty. However there was an abundance of bottle caps, shotgun "flowers" and small Styrofoam pieces. Also spotted was a dead Cassin's auklet, blue legs and all. Some erosion of vegetated fore dunes occurred.
