Report Details

A steady flow of beach walkers, either single or in pairs.  Three dead seabirds were seen on the beach- 2 murres and 1 western gull. There was also a murre in the surf at the tideline who was unable to fly or swim. Just below the bluff at Face Rock Overlook, there was a group of people gathered who were participating in a gorse drone demo that was sponsered by the ODA (OR Dept. of Agriculture).  This is a long-term project that hopes to determine the best way to access gorse growing on the bluffs on private property in the case of a fire. The Gorse Action Group from Bandon and State Park rangers were also present.
