Harbor seal pups began birthing on Saturday. This will continue for the next 2 months. USFWS and local volunteers monitor the area and educate visitors to keep a safe distance and leash dogs. Few people on the beach as the weather has been very windy the past few days

26 harbor seals, 3 seal pups on offshore rocks 8 brown pelicans in flight 2 whimbrels 2 short billed gulls Many western gulls and crows
