It was quite a mellow beach day. Everyone was behaving themselves.
Notable Wildlife:
There were many nesting seagulls on jockey cap and silver point, and a crow drinking water from Clayton Creek. A couple crabs in the tide pools, many sea anemones, and several happy starfish in the Silver Point cave.

This bit of beach is so lovely! I brought a bag to clean up trash and only found a few items. It was so nice.


Definitely a beach to visit for low tide! We walked up and down our mile and fell in love. So many cool tide pools, tons of awesome rocks, great collection of driftwood.

Beach lightly used even on a busy day on other adjacent beach. There was almost no garbage, almost no dead animals or seaweed. Overall a healthy beach.

actually, quite an improvement over previous 'day after the 4th.' the fireworks ban seems to be working, and the violations are more sporadic every year. Still lots of fireworks debris.

Will need to take a photo of a riprap structure gone bad. Ocean washed out sand placed between riprap, and some kind of netting to hold plants.Very ugly to look at. Will get address and photos.
