Activity Comments:
Main activity was surfing. Nice swell, but not large, lot of setting on boards but some good rips. Some small, under 2 or 3 children in water, and no wet suits. All in all a very pleasant day in December.
Notable Wildlife:
Couple dead jelly fish, too beat up to note what kind. Couple of strands of bull kelp. Very clean beach. Not even one gull. Lot of pelicans off the beach, maybe 100 or so. Seems very late for them.

Summary:
Incredibly clean beach. The parking lot to access the beach (Cape Kiwanda County Park) was also very clean.Weather very nice for first of December. Do not recall in 25 years seeing the beach so clean. The number of pelicans for this late in the year also very unusual.
