Christmas Eve and many people enjoying the beach. Sand has left the far northern end of Roads End mile, down to bedrock now. A new rock slide has also appeared. About a dozen little critters had washed in that I need help identifying. They look like fingers on the sand. See photos. Update: those little critters are Pyrosoma atlanticum. (Thanks oldMGguy on Mile 171)

Just wanted to say there have been a lot of brown pelicans this season, more than I've ever seen, and I'm wondering if they will stay for the winter?
