Report Details

A recent storm pushed some large tree stumps and logs up to the beach. There was an abundance of European sea grass along the driftline. Some American Searocket and Seabeach Sandwort near the bluffs. We picked up about 15 pounds of trash. There was a very heavy piece of painted wood that washed up that we could not carry to the car. Overall a quiet morning. We were glad to not see any stranded or dead sea lions on this trip. The two forts observed from the last mile walk in August were immersed in sand from a recent storm. Took pictures from the north and south end of mile 238 at a high tide of 6.7 to compare with the king tide in December.
