Cold day with high storm surge. Wave runup at least 2+ hours after high tide (High tide in Newport was at 9:44 that day, a 9.8 tide was very high on the beach.

bald eagle in its normal perch tree on S. side of creek west of the highway

Evidence of wave overtopping, Visible retreat of solid bluff. watched waves 2+ hours after high tide wash sandstone off the harder mudstone cliff faces

I am documenting erosion due to wave activityFogarty Creek, as usual this time of year is pushed far to the South, with the mouth also being S. of the rock.
