Report Details

Today was a fine, foggy day, with little wind and mild temperatures for November: very pleasant for walking, although few others took advantage of it. The beach was wide and flat, except at the northern end of my mile at Agate Beach Wayside, where what had been low dunes had eroded at the sides when water rushed past, leaving narrow pointed strips jutting out from the sand at the front and merging with the sand again at the side away from the surf. The tide was very low, and evidences of past occurrences remained: seafoam, footprints, dog prints, bird prints and droppings. Water stood on the beach in places near the south end of the mile.
