Good day for a walk on the beach. A few shorebird flocks foraging along the water's edge. Bluff erosion near Jump-off-Joe continues this year, but not as dramatic as last year.

Total dead birds: 3. All three were northern fulmars
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. A section of gillnet was wrapped around a branch on a beached log and partly buried. Beach washed pretty clean by high waves

Erosion of vegetated foredune, Major cracks appearing in bluffs, Visible retreat of solid bluff. Chronic winter erosion on bluffs north and south of Jump-off-Joe. Minor retreat this year compared to last
