A Toast to the Coast: September Alesong Fundraiser
We are thrilled to be selected as the September partner for Alesong Brewing and Blending’s “Engage with Alesong” fundraising program. Through this program, Alesong will donate 25% of sales from their award-winning Mocha Rhino Suit brew (both draft and bottles) to Oregon Shores through the whole month of September.
To celebrate this partnership, we are having a happy hour kick-off party at their 5th Street Market tasting room in Eugene (248 E 5th Ave.) on Wednesday, Sep. 6, from 5-7 p.m. During the happy hour event, Alesong will donate $1 from every item sold to Oregon Shores.
More about Mocha Rhino Suit: “Mocha Rhino Suit takes our flagship, bourbon-barrel-aged imperial milk stout and gives it a heavy dose of whole bean coffee and roasted cocoa nibs, taking an already decadent and chocolatey beer to new heights of deliciousness. Like Rhino Suit, this was aged in freshly emptied Heaven Hill bourbon barrels before blending. We worked with Eugene’s Coffee Plant Roasters to select a Colombian bean for its punchy coffee character and doubled down on our fascination with the country (we have two former residents on staff), by selecting a Colombian origin cocoa as well, honing in on that choice by tasting a half dozen options in conjunction with local importer, Chocolate Alchemy. It’s amazing the flavor, aroma, and mouthfeel impact of different cocoa varieties, but don’t worry, we’re happy to suffer through all those trials for you!”
