Pretty typical beach experience.

Pretty typical beach experience. The 2 dead pinnipeds appeared to be sea lions. One previously reported in August. Large flock of sea birds floating offshore.

Flock of approximately 100 sea birds floating offshore at the southern end of mile 60. See pic.

Total dead birds: 1.
Stranded Marine Mammals
Total stranded mammals: 2. The most decayed was previously reported and the southern end of 60. The other was about midway on mile 60 and dead. See pics.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). Unusual 20 foot piece of bamboo.
