Mile 54 showed signs of heavy human use: vehicle tracks, driftwood construction, several campfire sites.

Mile 54 showed signs of heavy human use: vehicle tracks, driftwood construction, several campfire sites. Nevertheless, there was very little trash, and most of that looked as if it had washed ashore. The beach seemed to be in good shape. The carcass of a hoofed animal was on the beach at the north end of the mile, presumably a deer.

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 6.0 feet.
