The morning started out scraping frost from my car windows, but the temperature at the beach was in the 50's.

The morning started out scraping frost from my car windows, but the temperature at the beach was in the 50's. A bar pilot helicopter flew over us as we walked our beach mile. There was very little driftwood on the beach due to the extremely high tides. Two surfers entered the water near the south jetty on our neighbor's beach mile. Sandpipers and seagulls were the only birds observed and one other person walking his dog.
