In this mile the bulk of the action if around the wreck of the Peter Iredale, almost all activity ceases away from that small section of beach. That was where almost all the people, dogs and activity was centered - except for a couple of cars (one was a small RV) that had to drive north beyond the wreck. Beach was clean of both natural and manmade debris. Forgot our camera, no photo this time.

Number of people: 29. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 12. Playing in sand: 6. Sitting: 6. Surfing: 3. Other Activities: 2 Kites. This section of the beach does allow cars until May 1st. I guess the drivers didn't see the sign telling them this that they had to drive by.

Only a few gulls. Not much wildlife observed. No shore birds

We came across this flock of approximately 3,100 Dunlin a bit south of the Iredale wreck in Fort Stevens State Park.
