Columbia Beach, Coffenbury Lake, Fort Stevens SP
February 13, 2024
It was a beautiful sunny day at Mile 335.
Report Details
It was a beautiful sunny day at Mile 335. Lots of driftwood and some marine debris in the wrack line. I collected 1.5 kitchen trash bags full of debris. I saw two large pieces of driftwood with burn scars on them. There was about a 1' deep hole dug at base of dunes, maybe by dog or a shovel. There was what appeared to be a salal growing in the middle of the beach! Not sure if it was living or just a buried branch.
