Winter walking ( 8 people, 2 dogs )on the beach after a very high tide earlier in the day.We counted 14 dead common murres probably due to the rough seas ( supposedly 20-22 ft. swells), wind, and rain from the day before.There was kelp everywhere!

With a light rain and only 49 degrees, there were few on this mile. However, the beach was covered with velella velella and the beach really stunk.

It was a beautiful morning at the coast today, but very quiet. The beach itself was very, very clean.
