Sunny low tide holiday weekend, lots of visitors and activity on the beach. Multiple people climbing rocks, multiple off-leash dogs barking at and chasing wildlife. (More photos available)

Actions & Comments
Low tide holiday weekend, lots of visitors and activity on the beach. A group of five climbed the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge rocks to the back area of Ecola Point, disturbing nesting seabirds. Four separate locals notified them that it was illegal, and they said someone from the area told them differently. Another group of two with an off-leash dog barking at wildlife were climbing the same area at Ecola Point. Multiple off-leash dogs were barking at and chasing wildlife throughout Ecola. Visitors were able to walk to Indian Beach at low tide. Several people said they were able to view black oystercatcher chicks via volunteers performing surveys at Chapman and Indian Beach. Saw a crow pulling live fish from the sand, then flying off, gull chasing after him, trying to grab the fish.

Amazing tidepool finds this morning - alabaster nudibranch, juvenile sunflower sea star, a cave wall covered in juvenile 6 rayed sea stars, and another wall covered in stiff footed cucumbers.
