Sporthaven Beach is one of the only easy public acsess areas for 8 miles and was pleased to see people enjoying the cool walk and ocean viewing area. Found more sand to be closer to the mouth of the Chetco River and groins of gravel south of the mile as well as the large logs. clean of garbage and trash and picked-up only a few water bottles. nice walk

mile 3 took two days to walk, as the tides were never low enough to get around red point or the arch walk through rock and not get wet. (The sand being gone at these points.) beaches were clean and drift washed south mostly toward Red point.long 50 foot logs, 3' and 1' diamiter. as well as smaller ones new this winter.
