33 people and 10 dogs were enjoying the beach on this early fall day in Manzanita. Tourist activity included the giving in to the urge to carry bull kelp...one person leading with the skinny end that originally had the holdfast feature that attached to a rock on the ocean bottom and the follower grasping the wider end that previously supported the large bulbous top supporting long blades that drifted back and forth with wave action.
