End of summer, Not much in the way of driftwood left on the beach(campers burn it thru the summer).

End of summer, Not much in the way of driftwood left on the beach(campers burn it thru the summer). The beach was carn clean being it was just a week ago the SOLVE did the fall beach clean-up. 5 dead birds is a concern, I am cusrious as to why?
Conditions
Temperature: 45 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 5. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 5. The vehicle was a State Park Ranger patrolling the beach. I had a conversation with him, they are now patrolling on a regular basis.

Total dead birds: 5. I believe all were Common Murre's
